Position Summary:
This position reports to the Supervisor of Manufacturing and performs a wide variety of mechanical assembly operations. This position is full time with some travel required for service calls locally and out of state customers.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for mechanical assembly of products following routine procedures and specifications. Experienced skill set level for assembly of mechanical and electrical components.
- To effectively assemble and repair machinery
- Soldering of cables, harnesses and sub assemblies
- Sets up and operates test equipment
- Must be able to read and use internal process documents
- Determines requirements and installs modifications as set forth by customer.
- Communicates problems/observations
- Has a working knowledge of operating procedures and understands why they are required.
- Able to use hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to instructions, procedures and specifications.
- Work collaboratively with other assemblers, supervisors and engineers.
- Regularly lift and or move 50 pounds and occasionally move 100+ pound items.
Job Requirements:
- High School / Trade School diploma
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical tolerances and electro mechanical devices and their functionality.
- Working knowledge of gear box and drive assemblies.
- Working knowledge of electrical instrumentation and controls.
- 3 to 5 years experience in manufacturing / industrial setting.
- Willingness to travel when needed.
- Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license
